The Sewing Stars upcycle fabric, beads, and all sorts of knicknacks to create new products. Their signature items include Hot Boxes, shopping bags, gift bags, keyrings, and bracelets.
Products are sold to raise funds for community development programs. The skills participants learn in this project enable them to make and sell their own creations and generate an income.
This project is managed by grassroots NGOs: Overstrand Unite, Overstrand Association of People with Disabilities, and Overberg Wheelchair Association.
