The Garden Champs look after community gardens in their neighbourhoods. The produce from these gardens is used in community kitchens to provide meals for the sick and the vulnerable. They also look after vegetable and herb gardens in schools, ECDs, churches, and the homes of the elderly. They are in the process of establishing a medicinal herb garden.
This project is managed by grassroots NGOs: Overstrand Unite, Overstrand Association of People with Disabilities, and Overberg Wheelchair Association.
